CONSUMERIST: The ‘I-CITY’ A BOOM OR A SCAM?
We have received serious questions on many alleged irregularities pertaining to the “MSC Status’ and alienation or purchase of land at subsidized prices where eventually MSC companies and incubator companies are ‘pressured’ to locate in?
We are told that the modus operanti is the same be it at Cyberjaya, Technology Park Malaysia, Serdang, Shah Alam I-City and now, South Bangsar and Malaysian voters and consumers are asking why is prime land been bought at subsidized rates and developed then charged to third parties at premium rates even a shocking RM7.00 per sq feet or a forced 4000 sq.feet for a MSC incubator company?
The modus operanti is the same all over?
This with a cost in professional fees, of high rentals with a tied in tenancy for two years with tied in costs of minimum RM900.00 for telephone whether one uses the line or not and other pressures extended!
Is this not an abuse?
Who is making the monies?
Is a tied in clause which is predatory legal?
How will a incubator company to survive and who is really making the money directly, indirectly or through proxies?
We have companies who have been victims of fraud who are in a binding situation today and this alleged abuse must be investigated and addressed in the public interest!
Can someone please answer these pertinent questions so that the Malaysian voters and consumers know the truth about how public monies are used, whether yet again subsidies are abused for politically linked individuals, their crony companies, outsourced management outlets and so forth?
Perhaps, our MPs can now look into these as well and seek answers in the August house!
