Consumerist: Mustapha Mohamed Right But When Talent Is Not Recognized, Rewarded, Retained – Will They Stay?
This is said many times before but never accepted as brokers, and race supremacist and other political shenanigans manipulate everything from education and policy decisions to market research findings and now in more clandestine maneuver even plot against minority religious and race issues!
So I am glad that dear friend, Minister of International Trade and Industry, Mustapa Mohamed has stated what many of us have been saying for decades that if Malaysia wants to move up the value chain rapidly, beyond manufacturing and production, to remain sustainable we need to look at leaders with new mindsets, fresh competencies and specialized skills.
That we should be able to identify global opportunities to take us up the value chain not just fill up Malaysia with unskilled, notorious even criminals from foreign lands just because a ‘sitting MP’, political broker or insider wants to make millions in foreign workers commission!

In other words, we could use a local ‘peribahasa’ for it as being a ‘Lembu punya susu sapi nak nama’ type of scenario which is ‘biasa’ here!

In such background, I think my dear friend, Mustapa Mohamed wish may never come true!
