“And we fully support and agree with our premier, Najib Tun Razak, who delivered a keynote speech that all races in the country especially the younger generation should be fluent in Bahasa Malaysia!

Truth 2:

And certainly it is our language of unity!”

Truth 3:

“But what upsets us is when ultra-groups emerge from time to time from comatose and call for “national language audit” or at the same breathe make racists threats and demands on local and foreign companies, and create an impression that the national policies are being circumvented when the reverse is the truth!”

Final Truth:

1 Malaysia 2

The challenge for Malaysian unity and our nation’s future is coming not from the non usage of the language but from the racial and religious attacks on peace loving and law abiding Malaysians from individuals and groups who have parachuted into the country from countries of a single race and religion!

Now with their ideologies and alien theology of racial and religious supremacy being propagated is undermining what our founding fathers have worked so hard for our independence from England!

These new arrivals are also threatening our federal constitution!

MALAYSIAN/ASEAN/APEC LEAD CONSUMERIST HITS OUT AT SHORT AND RACIST THINKING AT USAGE OF ENGLISH PROFICIENCY!

I am certain that like me all Malaysians fully agree and support our National Language!

And we fully support and agree with our premier who delivered a keynote speech that all races in the country especially the younger generation should be fluent in Bahasa Malaysia!

And certainly it is our language of unity!

We have no beef there!

In fact from my generation who left secondary school in the early 70s – we are really grateful of our strength in both languages!

1Malaysia 2

And we are also happy to note that while saying so, our premier also acknowledged the importance of the English language, as important for the country to be competitive on the world stage!

I am certain my generation are also very happy to have housing areas, shopping malls and streets with names that have local elements and avoid using names with Western connotations.
No beef there either!

But what upsets us is when ultra-groups emerge from time to time from comatose and call for “national language audit” or at the same breathe make racists threats and demands on local and foreign companies, and create an impression that the national policies are being circumvented when the reverse is the truth!

It may be an obsession with some politicians to play such game of thrones and fire prior to national elections, to show they are not political dinosaurs, without realizing that this is 2017 not pre 1969?

The challenge for Malaysian unity and our nation’s future is coming not from the non usage of the language but from the racial and religious attacks on peace loving and law abiding Malaysians from individuals and groups who have parachuted into the country from countries of a single race and religion!

Now with their ideologies and alien theology of racial and religious supremacy being propagated is undermining what our founding fathers have worked so hard for our independence from England!

These new arrivals are also threatening our federal constitution!

Has anyone today challenged or ridiculed the Malay language,
as the national language, the language of knowledge, administration, trade, and law in the country and as our beloved Prime Minister said the language of unity?

Certainly not!

We love our national language!

If so why the resolution at this meet and what are the real political motivations behind those flogging what to us analyst is a “dead horse” and an “non-issue!”

Now having established that what is wrong in having proficiency in English?

Those double faced politicians who are always at war footing on English are also the rascals whose children are in international schools both here and abroad!

Rais Yatim 1

And certainly Yes – Rais Yatim is playing politics!

I will repeat the arguments for English ad naseum.

Our leaders from time immemorial know the truth.

The reality on the ground and present setbacks on the command of the English language at our diplomatic services, public and private sector, or news readers, the airlines even when reading from a prepared script speaks for itself!

Unfortunately many are misled by such “Rais Yatim” rhetoric.
Many believe that they can get by without English or another language of economic value.

And remember those languages are not Tamil or Arabic.

Tamil or Arabic are learnt for their cultural or religious value.

Do you not agree that those without English language proficiency are not able to access information, knowledge and contacts?

Do you not agree that those without English Language proficiency will in a globalized world have difficulty finding employment in the public, private sector or abroad.

English is the global language.

Now let us look at examples of our neighbors on the same matter!

Indonesia pursues English language proficiency intensely.

India and Pakistan maintain English language as the language of instruction in their elite schools and their universities.

And certainly accurate to say that Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore – countries that have made the greatest progress in education and economic development in the last 30 years pursue English as a second language.

Now let us look at Malaysia!

Are we denying that we have more than 100 international schools in the country.

There are no restrictions on Malaysians with the means to send their children to these schools, which includes politicians with the likes of Rais Yatim!

Many government boarding schools emphasize English Language learning and use.

Let us now move beyond ASEAN!

Do you know that France and Japan have the fastest translation agencies in the world? Major works are translated in the French and Japanese languages within a few days of publication.

In addition most Japanese and French engineers and scientists can read and understand English even if they do not speak it fluently.

Israel pursued Hebrew as their national language but reverted to a bilingual policy many years ago. Israel is only next to the US in having the second largest number of research scientists in the world.

All of the African countries have reverted to English and French as their language of science and education.

In the short term, China sent thousands of students abroad to study in the top universities of the world.

In 2017, China has the largest number of students in the UK, the US, Canada and Australia.

Then China looking at India said we must have 300 million Chinese who have English language proficiency.
English began to be taught as a second language in Chinese schools.

Today China has achieved that target making China and India the countries with the largest number of English speakers in the world.

Japan and French are often used as examples of countries that have succeeded, scientifically ,industrially and commercially with their own languages.

Now we should decide where we want to be in the scale of things!

Do we want to be with the best in the world or be the source of cheap labor for manufacturing endeavors from US and others based companies, construction, agriculture, plantation, and services by using foreign workers which brings no value add to us except for political crooks, and politically connected manpower agents in and out of the country and corrupt Human Resources department of these companies seeking foreign workers?

Got my drift?

MALAYSIA’S APEC/ASEAN LEAD CONSUMERIST TELLS THE US NOT TO TURN THIS REGION INTO A WAR ZONE FOR THEIR POLITICAL VENTURES AND GREED!

Were you aware that a diversionary foreign policy, or a diversionary war, is an International Relations term that identifies a war instigated by a country’s leader in order to distract its population from their own domestic strife.

Happened many times in the name of human rights, democracy, freedom, liberation, justice and so forth!

Actually this perverse and malicious concept stems from the Diversionary War Theory, which states that leaders who are threatened by domestic turmoil occasionally initiate an international conflict in order to shift the nation’s attention away from internal troubles.

For example a President who is worried that his team colluded, conspired, circumvented with Russia to manipulated the US elections?

In such a situation, fearing exposure, some think initiating a war outside would counter the domestic strife and ensure the leader’s position in power.

Essentially, a diversionary use of force is a manipulation of the Rally Round the Flag Syndrome effect, causing an increase of national fervor from the general public.

My foreign colleagues at several diplomatic fronts share that many scholars of International Relations have dedicated much research to the practical application of diversionary war.

A large percentage investigates United States presidents and their disputed culpability partaking in diversionary foreign policy.

Despite the immense amount of effort and research, scholars have not yet formed a consensus of the accuracy of the theory, and empirical evidence is mixed at best.

Generally, the pursuit of a diversionary foreign policy may offer the leader in power four benefits, all of which increase their ability to remain in power:

1. A successful diversionary foreign policy could increase support for the domestic regime.
2. This in turn increases that government’s time to address their internal trouble.
3. Artificial tension created from the international conflict may justify a leaders’ suppression of dissent.
4. The war abroad could cause the population to simply be distracted from the issues that induced the original dissatisfaction with the government.

And in many cases it has worked!

Remember Iraq, Libya, Vietnam, Korea, Yemen?

South America?

The external threat may unify the country through the Rally Round the Flag Syndrome effect by creating a new out-group other than the government for the population to direct its dissatisfaction.

However, all of these benefits depend on success in the diversionary war that the government facing domestic strife incites.

Failure in these international actions would backfire against the leader’s initial intent.

As a result, the leader would likely face more domestic strife, possibly hastening his or her loss of power.

Nevertheless, this possible negative effect is addressed in the Diversionary War Theory.

The theory itself states that rational leaders facing a near inevitable removal from office become more likely to gamble on a risky diversionary war.

If the existing dissatisfaction is prompting their removal from office, a diversionary foreign policy only leaves room for gain.

So are the US trying to pick a fight and initiate another war with North Korea on a pretext that North Korea have a stockpile of armaments which threaten the US?

Seriously?

Now the Mickey Mouse politicians in Japan and South Korea trying to saber ratter that North Korea may use chemical bombs regionally, which is highly criminal on the parts of these idiots masquerading as politicians and leaders!

Meantime, we are advised CHINA has scrambled another 25,000 troops to be militarized along the North Korean border as the country is put on ‘nationwide alert’ amid heightened tensions between the hermit state and the West!

All five military regions from China have been ordered by Beijing to maintain readiness for the possibility of conflict.

China’s armored and mechanized infantry brigades in the Shandong, Zhejiang and Yunnan provinces have been given the go-ahead too.

The troops being deployed from China to the Korean peninsula are from the 47th group army of the Ninth Armored Brigade.

China has already sent 150,000 troops to the North Korean border on Sunday, Taiwan’s China Post has claimed.

To me the tensions comes after the US and South Korea conducted joint military exercises around the peninsula.

North Korea 4

And why is the USS Carl Vinson’s strike group been deployed to the Korean peninsula in a show of force towards Pyongyang?

What is wrong in that hermit nation carrying out a series of missile launches and nuclear tests?

I really appreciate Chinese president Xi Jinping who has advised Donald Trump to pursue a peaceful resolution to the meltdown in the crisis during a phone call between the pair.

It is sheer stupidity that now is aired by US dominated media groups and among the statements made is another Mickey Mouse statement which says:

“We have the greatest military in the world…We have given them total authorization…If you look at what’s happened over the last eight weeks and compare that really with what’s happened over the last eight years, you’ll see there’s a tremendous difference. Tremendous difference.”

Seriously you idiot!

You want to start a war which will kill millions and put the region backwards because you think you are God’s gift at leadership?

What an ass!

MALAYSIA’S, APEC/ASEAN LEAD CONSUMERIST ASKS UNITED AIRLINES – WAS IT REALLY RACISM AT ITS WORST?

By now the real face of big business and corporations and what they do is the subject of global condemnation!

I am of course referring to the now infamous clips and disturbing scene captured on cellphone videos by United Airlines passengers on Sunday which went beyond the typical nightmares of travelers on an overbooked flight or more sarcastically flights!

In this case, we see how an unidentified man, allegedly a doctor, who refused to be bumped from a plane screamed as a security officer wrestled him out of his seat and dragged him down the aisle by his arms.

The scenes show this individual who claims to be a doctor with his glasses sliding down his face, and his shirt rose above his midriff as uniformed officers followed.

United 1

His face also look bloodied!

United 3

At least two passengers documented the physical confrontation and the man’s anguished protests, and their videos spread rapidly online on Monday as people criticized the airline’s tactics.

Is this America 2017?

I pray not as I have so many great and good friends and family living there and who are Americans!

The Americans I know are certainly loving, caring, passionate, sacrificial, godly and supportive of all forms of welfare programs!

Inexplicably instead of resignations of policymakers of the airline for such a heavy handed episode we are instead told that a security officer involved in the episode has been placed on leave?
How convenient?

This is the classic example of how governments and big business do when caught in a scandal or fiasco!

Now we are told that the US Federal Transportation Department is investigating whether the airline complied with rules regarding overbooking.

According to records, we are advised in 2016, United involuntarily denied boarding to 3,765 of its more than 86 million passengers on oversold flights.

And that an additional 62,895 people voluntarily gave up their seats.

Inexplicably, this event on Sunday was the second social media cork-up for United in two weeks.

In March, two girls were barred from a flight because they were wearing leggings, which the company said violated its dress code for a benefit for United employees and their dependents.

Critics called the policy sexist and overbearing.

Several issues need to be addressed here as it has implications for airlines in our sectors as well and their rather contagious disease of allowing overbooking too!

So who decides who gets bumped off?

The management, a computer, an employee or some combination of the two or an idiot at the bottom of the food chain?

But what is troubling me is why when the passenger had already got on board and seated on a seat, does one intervene?

In my country we call it – “kerja bodoh!”

This sounds rather stupid and an heinous crime that should not be tolerated in any civilized nation!

United 4

Bumping a passenger raises many an issue.

It may clear the airlines of their immediate agenda or malicious intent of replacing the seats to their own chosen ones or staff?

But for the passengers, we ask how long they the customer would have to stay at the airport before being rebooked?

This can include separating families or leaving unaccompanied minors.

In this United fiasco, it is still unclear why the airline was bumping paying consumers/customers to make way for crew members?

Reports indicate that in a letter to employees, United Airlines’ parent company chief executive Oscar Munoz revealed the company had been trying to make room for four employees of a partner airline, which resulted in four passengers being told to get off the flight from Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport to Louisville.

Is this true?

If so then United’s chief executive Oscar Munoz should be sacked!

TIME FOR REVIEW AND REPLACEMENT OF MOH LEADERSHIP SAYS CASSA!

‘Embarrassingly, nothing seems to be moving in a progressive manner allegedly hampered and frustrated by politics, back stabbing, private and personal interest, personalities, and racism!’

Organ Transplant 2

I refer to the statement by Health Ministry deputy director-general, Datuk Dr Jeyaindran Sinnadurai statement entitled ‘Not enough donors, surgeons or teams for organ transplants’ totally misleading!

Extremely troubling also because we are told that the number of kidney dialysis will double by 2040!

And that 9 out of 100 Malaysians, have chronic kidney disease now?

Rather than join a chorus of extreme negativism, allow me to address the various issues raised by Dr Jayaindran in the said article which cannot go unchallenged as
CASSA has done a lot of work in these areas and our findings raises several points that needs to be explained in accountability, good governance and transparency at the Ministry of Health Malaysia!

It is certainly not our intention to embarrass any quarter but certainly to ask pertinent questions in the public interest.

First, may I ask humbly what has ever happened to the Ministry of Health’s preventive health program?

Is it not time to conduct an audit by independent assessors why if any, all of the MOH’s programs have failed?

How much ratepayers monies have been spent on all these?

Let us start with MOH’s infamous Lifestyles Campaigns which were undertaken costing multi millions to date, but, seems to have failed?

Dr Jeyaindran should realize as a practitioner and now wearing the hat of an administrator, that talking about Organ Transplant is a secondary issue!
Transplants are not cheap.

Does he and his members at MOH not feel that greater emphasis should be for the prevention of organ failures?

If indeed our preventive medicine and healthcare programs are effective, then we would not need to be talking about expensive transplant programs and the lack of specialists!

In the said article, the deputy director general has also mentioned that they want to increase the capacity for transplant patients, when nobody seems to be bothered about the cheaper preventive medicine.

At this juncture, we need to also ask whether we have allowed far too many 24hr and other eateries serving unhealthy and unhygienic food to unsuspecting consumers?

Do we not need to now regulate and limit them?

We need to also ask whether patients today have easy access to drugs and alternative treatment, which are damaging to their organs, some by ‘fly in by night operators?’

Thirdly, are generic medicines effective in controlling the blood sugars and the blood pressure for patients? If they were effective why are diabetics developing kidney failures?

Those familiar know organ transplants are expensive.

They also need highly trained teams and other assets to be effective.

It is a passionate skill needing dedication, sacrifice and vision!

I know that there was an effective Kidney transplant program in Kuala Lumpur General Hospital and Selayang.

Can the deputy director general care to answer what ever happened to them?

Had the government put enough funds to sustain it?

If they indeed have stopped, the pertinent question is why were these tertiary services not sustained by the government?

The deputy director general has taken pains to give the impression that they are looking into engaging foreign experts to train more specialists in these areas so that transplants can be done.

A very strange statement coming in 2017 era!

I am certain that the members of the Malaysian public, would be anxious to know what has happened to all the trained specialist we previously had?
Care to honestly explain?

Why were there not steps taken to retain those specialists?

Whose incompetence or lack of professionalism resulted in this status?

For example from 2015 we have had no liver transplants in the country!
Why?

Do these stoppages have any link to specialist retiring without efforts made by MOH bureaucrats and pencil pushers, to frustrate their reemployment or others leaving service out of sheer frustrations at the lack of promotions and appreciation of their dedication, passion and service to the nation?

And does not what I am alluding to have indeed grounds for a comprehensive investigation by an external nonpartisan task force?

At the same time have our so called MOH intelligentsia ever done a root cause or analysis why specialist are leaving the service?

CASSA is aware that international experts like Professor Russell Strong, a dear friend, was brought in to facilitate the development of transplant in this country.

Why was it not sustained?

Embarrassingly, in comparison with other countries where specialist services are developed there has been exponential growth!

Why not Malaysia?

Are we not ashamed that even countries, whose talents were trained in Malaysia in time past like Pakistan are developing transplant programs in all their districts?

To be exact 36 districts!

Let me go further!

Even in India, who started after us, they have moved far ahead of us!

And perhaps, why this is so, the MOH deputy director general can perhaps enlighten me and other Malaysians!

Embarrassingly, nothing seems to be moving in a progressive manner allegedly hampered and frustrated by politics, back stabbing, private and personal interest, personalities, and racism!

Since we are on this topic may I also ask what ever happened to Malaysia’s version of the Organ Transplant Act?

CASSA was consulted to provide feedback decades ago and I am advised this is still another issue that has not seen light or resolved!

Perhaps, this is a classic example that there is something very seriously wrong at the Ministry of Health’s leadership, which at one time stood tall, talented and transparent!
