COMFORTABLE VICTORY FOR THE BN PREDICTS CONSUMERIST JACOB!

‘Premier Najib Razak needs time to pick new, young and fresh faces, individuals without scandal, controversies and baggage!

It is time the war lords and repeatedly recycled old horses be retired!

There is no need to make them senior ministers or roaming ambassadors with ministerial status or heads of GLCs or Commissions!’ – Dr Jacob George

COMFORTABLE VICTORY FOR THE BN PREDICTS CONSUMERIST JACOB!

The 14th by-election since the 2008 general election will take place in Tenang in the State of Johor tomorrow!

As far as I am concerned the outcome is not in doubt.

I am certain that the Barisan Nasional BN will win this seat quite handsomely!

Even the opposition has conceded this!

The only pertinent question that remains is the winning majority.

Unlike others I had on January 18 indicated in my blog entry that although the Tenang state constituency was won by a margin of 2492 the last time, signs observed by me indicated that the BN should win the seat with a huge margin crossing the 3500 mark!

Basically, there are no issues in Tenang at all there!

Most local issues, whether it is water, electricity, roads or other more personal issues have all being resolved or are being attended to and that is what is crucial in any elections!

And the rights and interests of local communities have being addressed!

However, beware – The victory at Tenang should not be a sign to call for the General Elections!

And I will humbly advise Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak on three things though.

1. Namely that the General Election should not be held this year or in concurrence with the Sarawak state elections though there are many spins and power- plays behind the scenes to initiate one!

We still have time and time is needed to address many issues at the grassroots.

2. Time has to be also given to components BN parties to get their act together and if it is decided that the successful by elections runs are signs that all is well – it is a very wrong deduction!

There is no urgency and it is pertinent that we get them to put their respective houses to order and address crucial issues at the national level especially the various controversies and many manufactured due to stupidity and a narrow racist mindset!

The voters have evolved proactively but the politicians are still caught in a time warp! Greed and obsessions die hard!
3. And finally, time is needed to pick new and fresh faces, individuals without scandal, controversies and baggage!

It is time the war lords and repeatedly recycled old horses be retired!

There is no necessity to continue to feed their insatiable political greed and appetite any longer!

Or feel threatened by their political threats!

There is no need to make them senior ministers or roaming ambassadors with ministerial status!

There is no need to appoint them to Government Linked Companies (GLC) or as Chairman of Commissions!

Past bad political culture and practices must be put to rest!

This is the only way to convince the electorate that BN mean business and has CHANGED!

It is time for ALL THINGS NEW!

Our campaign against RACISM of all forms!
