CONSUMERIST – JOSEPH SALANG APOLOGIZE TO SARAWAK CHRISTIANS!

‘Deputy Information and Culture Minister Joseph Salang Gandum is reported to have said that these Christians who gathered for a massive prayer session in Sarawak were ‘people making fools of themselves” while dismissing the rally out rightly!

If this was true – there is no ‘bigger fool and an idiot’ in Sarawak than him!

It is individuals like him that give a bad name to Barisan Nasional and put BN peers at a disadvantage, wasting time fire fighting, putting the opposition at an advantage, when we should be sensitive, caring, dedicated in delivering on our promises the way we have been in the past and will in the future!

Joseph Salang should immediately apologize to the Christians!’ – Dr Jacob George

CONSUMERIST – CHRISTIANS AWAKE IN SARAWAK!

I had expected politicians to admit when they are wrong or when they have finally being caught misleading their voters to resign!

But I am aware that is not in our culture!

Instead we spin, organize massive police reports, manipulate audiences blame everyone but oneself!

Worst, when they have hurt and misread the political sentiments from the vary demography who are expected to vote them in again!

This is while I advised several of my MP friends in Sarawak to advice their political brethren not to open their mouths and get it confirmed that they are outright idiots who Premier Najib Tun Razak should take all precaution to exclude as candidates not only for the incoming state elections but the expected GE13!

Deputy Information and Culture Minister Joseph Salang Gandum is reported to have said that these Christians who gathered for a massive prayer session in Sarawak were ‘people making fools of themselves” while dismissing the rally out rightly!

If this was true – there is no ‘bigger fool and an idiot’ in Sarawak than him!

It is individuals like him that give a bad name to Barisan Nasional and put others at a disadvantage while wasting time fire fighting when we should be delivering on our promises the way we have been in the past and will in the future!

But rather than talk about him, I want to praise the organizers who were behind this turnout which saw Christians in Sarawak sending out a powerful message to the government when thousands of them turned up at a prayer rally on religious freedom!

My relatives in Sarawak say there were more than 4000 Christians packed in the Christian Ecumenical Worship Centre to pray and listen to their leaders speak on the controversial Al-Kitab issue.

I am told that the said rally was the hard work of the Sarawak Ministers Fellowship (SMF), which is an alliance of Sarawak churches including the Kuching Ministers Fellowship, Miri Pastors Fellowship, Sibu Pastors Fellowship, Bintulu Pastors Fellowship and Gempuru Besai Raban Jaku Iban Malaysia.

Christians in Peninsula Malaysia and Sabah should know that the said rally is the first of its kind in Sarawak and also the first time that the normally conservative and passive Christian community has publicly voiced its unhappiness with the government.

I am advised that similar rallies will be held throughout Sarawak at later dates.

It is clear that the Christians of Sarawak who make up a strong 45% (?) of the state population are confronting any attempts by outsiders and racist in Peninsula Malaysia against their faith and beliefs!

Those who have ears, please hear, those with eyes please see and those who have hearts please feel in the interest of good governance, transparency, ethics, having zero tolerance for racism and the cultivation of anti Christian spirit!

Our campaign against RACISM of all forms!
